THINGS TO DO

PLACES TO GO

From young visitors to old, Salisbury and the surrounding area has something for everyone. For the outgoing types there is an abundance of walking and cycling routes around the perimeter of the city and beyond. If you love architecture, art or history, there's plenty of that too and, if you fancy a day on the beach, you can be in Bournemouth in just under an hour by car. If you're looking for a B&B near Salisbury, the Woodford Valley, where we live, is nestled in the heart of the Stonehenge World Heritage Site and most of the above can be reached by car in 15 minutes.

PLACES TO SEE

As well as the cathedral, Magna Carta and Stonehenge, Salisbury has a wonderful range of art galleries, museums and National Trust properties in the heart of the city. If you enjoy music, theatre and pantomime, we have that too. Salisbury also has some great markets on Fridays and Saturdays and there are regular special events held in the Market Square on Sundays. And once you've exhausted what we have on offer locally, numerous National Trust and English Heritage properties, as well as other market towns such as Frome and Devizes, are just a short drive from the city.

DINING OUT

If you're looking for somewhere to eat, Salisbury caters for pretty much any palette - offering everything from Thai cuisine through to Mexican, Italian or Vegan. But you don't even have to travel that far if you stay with us as we have 2 lovely pubs within a short walk or drive from Finch Cottage. Please contact us for a list of our favourite places to visit.
